Structured & Woven Fabrics
Garments made from woven fabrics (with little to no stretch) have a more defined fit. Please follow the exact measurements in our size guide, as the size guide is based on body measurements and not the actual garment measurements. For all items, it’s important to choose your exact size for the best fit.
Choosing Between Sizes? Size Up!
If you find yourself between sizes, we always recommend sizing up for comfort and a more flattering fit. A slightly looser fit can always be adjusted, but a garment that’s too tight may feel restrictive.
Still unsure? Reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to assist you in finding your perfect size! We recommend using a soft measuring tape when taking your measurements, as well as measuring over the same undergarments that you would like to wear with the item of clothing.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns and Exchanges Policy
At BAKU, we are committed to ensuring you feel confident and happy with your purchase. If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help.
Exchanges & Store Credit
We gladly accept returns for exchange or store credit within 10 days of receiving your order, provided the item meets the following criteria:
- It is in its original condition, unworn and unwashed
Please note, we do not offer refunds for returns unless the item is faulty.
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll process your exchange or issue store credit within 5-10 business days, unless communicated otherwise directly with the client.
The cost of the return courier will be at the customer’s expense. However, we will gladly arrange the return collection on your behalf and deduct the courier fee from your exchange or store credit.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, please notify us within 7 days of receiving it.
In these cases, you may choose between a store credit, replacement, or repair.
Final Sale & Discounted Items
All items marked down as part of a sale, clearance, or promotional discount are considered final sale and are not eligible for return, unless the item is faulty. These items may, however, be exchanged for another item, size, or store credit.
This includes:
- Items listed with a reduced price on our website (e.g. seasonal sale or clearance markdowns)
- Items purchased using a discount code of 10% or more (e.g. welcome discount, weekend promotions, limited-time offers)
Return Process
To initiate a return, please email our team at info@baku.co.za with your order number and reason for return.
We will guide you through the next steps and arrange a courier collection on your behalf. The courier fee will be for your account and deducted from your store credit or invoiced for payment prior to collection.
Please ensure returns are securely packaged. We cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
